At their February 28th meeting the RBSC reorganized. John Rogers was elected Chairman, Dick Phelps - Vice Chair and Marilyn Werkheiser - Secretary.
Members agreed to look into renovations to the High School as well as replacing the Middle School. There is concern that without some renovations to the High School such as modernizing the science labs the High School Accreditation could be affected. A meeting is planned with the State School Building Assistance to explore this further.
Members agree that a Political Action Committe needs to be formed to develop a public relation campaign relative to a possible ballot question. The Chairman will meet with members of the Parent Associations to begin this process.
School Superintendent, Jim Kerrigan gave a progress report on the application to the SBA relative to replacing the Middle School, which is very poor condition.
The next meeting will be held Wednesday March 28 at 6:00 P.M. at the Middle School. The meetings are usually held the last Wednesday of each month at 6:00 P.M. in the Middle School Library and are open to the public.
